Russian military personnel fought longer, over more territory and suffered greater casualties than any other allied forces during World War II. Their extraordinary efforts and incredible sacrifices prevented the Third Reich from conquering the world. The stories and experiences of the heroic Russian veterans of the Great Patriotic War are slowly fading from the world's consciousness. Most of these surviving men and women are reaching their final years of life. It is important to document their histories and memories of W.W.II and to capture their images so that today's free citizens can see and appreciate the personality of courage.
